PFS Committee Responsibilities
To act as a resource in the area of Patient Financial Services.
To provide at least one educational program pertinent to patient accounting issues.
To facilitate peer interaction.
To act as an advisory group to all pertinent health care organizations and third party payers.
To encourage active participation in HFMA and to promote membership.
To publicize and encourage member participation in the CMPA exam.
To participate actively in the further development of the Patient Financial Services Profession.
