Social Events/Awards/Logistics Committee Responsibilities
To support the President, Executive Committee, and the Board with board meetings.
To assist with the annual Board Retreat by coordinating site selection, contract negotiation, menu selection, and other general communication with the site facilities.
To assist with any other special events: organizing and coordinating hotel activities.
To work with the current President and President-Elect regarding the Annual Installation dinner; also to assist with any other special events that may be required in the current year.
To present candidates for the Chapter Medal of Honor to the Executive Committee.
To solicit nominees for the following awards: President's Award, Chapter Achievement Award, Committee Leadership Award, and the Chapter Award of Merit; compile the results for each award, and present them to the Executive Committee.
To working with the Chapter President to review nominees selected by the Newsletter Committee for the Author of the Year Award.
To perpetuate annual scholarships in the name of deserving or deceased members of our Chapter.
To select and obtain appropriate recognitions for Chapter Officers and Committee Members, as well as other awards and recognition gifts as requested by the Officers or Board of Directors.
