Terry has been a member of HFMA since 1988 and has served as a Board Member on and off since. He has also served on the PFS committee, was Co-Chair of the Joint Managed Care Conference (now known as the Joint Northern and Southern CA Fall Conference) for about 4 years, Chaired and served on the sponsorship committee for both: the Joint Managed Care Conference (Fall Conference) and for the Northern Ca Chapter’s Corporate Sponsors for years, Chaired and volunteered on the annual Golf Tournament for years and has Chaired and Co-Chaired the Newsletter Committee from 2008 to present.
Involved in the collection industry for 35 years, Terry has enjoyed developing and maintaining collection centers, including start-ups and multiple collection locations, utilizing state of the art automated call center processes for collections and skip-tracing.
His first client in the collection business was Mt. Zion hospital in San Francisco where he learned about the joy of commission while gaining empathy and understanding for the patients. Over the years he has successfully collected for Healthcare providers statewide as well as major Banks and National Retail chains including: Bank of America, Wells Fargo, J C Penney’s and Target.
In January 2000, Terry became part owner of Rash Curtis & Associates and took over as the sole owner in April 2008.
